1 pk EDEN Extra Fine Pasta &lt;br /&gt;
-OR- Pesto Pasta 1/2 c Pine nuts or walnuts &lt;br /&gt;
-- toasted 1/4 c EDEN Extra Virgin Olive Oil &lt;br /&gt;
4 Cloves garlic; pressed &lt;br /&gt;
1/2 c Water &lt;br /&gt;
1 1/2 tb EDEN Shiro Miso &lt;br /&gt;
4 c Loosely packed fresh basil &lt;br /&gt;
-OR 1/2 basil &amp;amp; 1/2 parsley Cook pasta according to directions until tender, and drain. Toast nuts in a dry skillet until golden brown being careful not to burn. Grind in a blender and set aside. In blender, combine olive oil, garlic, miso and water; blend. Chop the basil fine, add to blender and process. Add nuts and blend until creamY smooth. 2 tb Safflower oil &lt;br /&gt;
8 ea Scallions, finely chopped &lt;br /&gt;
2 ea Garlic cloves, minced &lt;br /&gt;
1/4 c Yellow miso &lt;br /&gt;
1 c Vegetable stock, warmed &lt;br /&gt;
4 tb Chopped fresh parsley &lt;br /&gt;
In a medium skillet, heat oil. Add scallions &amp;amp; garlic &amp;amp; saute for 3 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl. Add miso. Slowly add 1 cup stock stirring well all the time. Add more liquid if you want a thinner sauce. &quot;Vegetarian Times, April 1992 &lt;br /&gt;
